My admission advisor was extremely knowledgeable and patient with me throughout my entire process of enrollment. I had to have 2 unexpected surgeries and I needed a program that would benefit myself and my family into the future. I expressed that I needed a career that was flexible and would allow me to work in the healthcare field that I was already familiar with and love. The information that was given to me after expressing all of these things really helped me find something that I believe will allow me to excel in a career while having and caring for my family.
I enjoyed the flexibility with being able to do my assignments with what my time allowed. It is not easy as an adult with a family to be able to go back to school and get an education with all the moving parts of everyday life and a family. My husband is active duty and being able to find a program that doesn’t keep me tied down to one place and still do well while completing courses has been a game changer for myself and my family. This career will give me continuity and dependability for a great job that I do not have to switch every few years due to military lifestyle.
My favorite course and subject was learning to manage appointments and revenue management.
I have a previous background in healthcare with memory care and labor and delivery. Working in healthcare brings me so much joy, and it truly never felt like work. Now with a family of my own I knew I needed a career still in that field, but something that allows to me do that in a different way so I can be present for my family. My career goals are to aspire to be the best that I can in this new career and work my way up from entry level to specialist while enjoying life with a remote job that accommodates my life in a better way.
